The Council of Fashion Designers of America is a non-profit organization that houses more than 400 of America's leading edge designers. It also assists up and coming designers in growing and sustaining their business in the revolving fashion industry. Last night, the annual CFDA Awards recognized the cream of the crop of designers, while putting on an event that brought out A-listers of the fashion arena. Included in the guest list, were big names such as Tom Ford, Raf Simons, Rihanna, Anna Wintour, and an array of stylish celebrities and models.
After a group of 1,500 CFDA members, retailers, stylists and editors voted, the winners were chosen. They included Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School New York as the Men's Designer of the Year, a much deserved and anticipated title. But it was Rihanna who stole the limelight of the event, with her completely see through Swarovski encrusted Adam Selman gown that exposed her nips and bum in perfect RiRi fashion.
