Tyler, the Creatorsat down with Billboard to talk about his bright, humorous clothing line Golf Wang. As usual, the rapper/producer/designer gave more than a handful of awesome quotes, including what he thinks about the world that he now quasi-belongs in as a designer.
“I fucking hate fashion and everything about it. I just like making stuff and it happens to be in fucking cotton and, like, materials. But that shit [of the fashion world] is disgusting.”
But that doesn't mean he doesn't care about Golf Wang, and he's taking measure to ensure that the brand is here to stay.
“I don’t want it to be like fucking Rocawear or, I don’t know, a lot of things that come and go,” he said. “That’s why I don’t give out free clothes to famous people. That actually could be the worst thing possible, if famous people wore Golf Wang.”
