Minnesota-based illustrator Steve Thomas, known for his propaganda-meets-vintage design style, has created a series of posters that pay homage to the natural beauty of this great country. Commissioned by Buffalo-based photographer Douglas Levere and his company Print Collection, these retro-future prints portray the wonders of places like Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and The Badlands.

The series, entitled “See America,” was inspired by the Works Projects Administration’s attempt to get people outdoors and exploring during the 1930s and ‘40s. “See America” hit the scene at just the right moment; as temperatures heat up, many are starting to think about summer vacation destinations.
