Halloween and Comic Con are fast approaching, and if you're like us, you've already started spitballing ideas for costumes with your friends. Because of our mediocre sewing abilities and stackless pockets, our costumes will probably come from a generic Halloween shop, and there will be thousands of people out there who share our struggle.

Makeup artist and video editor Elsa Rhae won't be one of those people because she is beast at her art form. On her Facebook page, Rhae writes that while pursuing a degree in Film and Media studies, she needed an elective, so she chose a course in stage makeup. Using what she learned in that course and her love for popular culture, Rhae started to paint herself as well-known characters from video games like Mortal Kombat, films like V for Vendetta, and television shows like Captain Planet and the Planeteers and Game of Thrones.

The amount of detail that Rhae puts into her face painting is incredible, and what's even cooler is that she posts timelapse videos of the process to her YouTube channel.
