Martha Otero Gallery will open a group exhibition on May 17 entitled "Miscellanea" with works by James Jean, Jen Stark, Chris Beas, Lia Halloran, Pat Perry, Adam Stamp, and Henry Vincent. The show is pretty much seven shows in one, and each brings a unique style and flavor to the gallery.
Jen Stark's busy Melt painting (shown from various angles above) is described as being based on "replication, infinity, hypnotic, optical and kaleidoscopic designs resembling microcosms of divine and universal nature," a stark (no pun intended) contrast to the line work in James Jean's Cormorant drawing. For more information on the exhibition, head to the Martha Otero Gallery website.
