Designer Jonathan Schkolnick realized that instead of spending his money on shoes and clothes, he needed to turn his genuine interest in fashion into a business. Enter Highstreet NYC, a brand that's heavily inspired by Schkolnick's NYC roots—more specifically, High Street in Brooklyn Heights where he lived.
Besides the reference to a street on his block, the brand name itself is pretty apropos. The garments, as Schkolnick has described it, blends high-fashion and streetwear. The summer 2014 collection includes cool moto joggers you didn't even know you needed (but should definitely cop) and a pair of shorts in a similar style. Both the shorts and the pants are available in all black and a camo pattern at reasonable prices—the shorts come in at $90 and the pants at $130. Cop here.
