Everyone knows that technology controls our lives, and as time goes on it will only get worse (or better, depending on how you look at it). After reading news articles about machines that can read minds and other advancements in science and technology, Fernando Barbella was inspired to create "Signs From the Near Future," a Tumblr blog on which he creates and shares images of digitally created street and warning signs that show where we could be headed.

With messages on bathroom mirrors like "all selfies taken with your smart contact lenses will be shared in real time with the proper authorities," and street signs that read "keep left lane free for driverless cars," Barbella shows us a world that he says can be "exciting or downright scary."
