A few weeks ago, Hong Kong lifestyle publication Obscura dropped an epic "Influences" feature dedicated to magazine founder Cheng Chi Lung's favorite sneaker brands. The 32-page spread highlighted everything from groundbreaking shoe models to box design, logotypes, and more. It also paid homage to history's most influential sneaker designers, replete with dope, colorful illustrations by Boston-based fashion illustrator Decue Wu.
The artist depicted sneaker legends like Chuck Taylor, Jack Purcell, Phil Knight, Paul Van Doren, and Tinker Hatfield in scenes that best capture each designer's persona and legacy. Click through to see for yourself.
