This June, Taschen Books will release the first comprehensive monograph of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei's career. The limited edition, 724-page hardcover book was made in collaboration with the artist and features extensive text and images (many of which have been previously unseen) from Weiwei's life and work, as well as essays by Uli Sigg, Roger M. Buergel, Carlos Rojas, William A. Callahan, and James J. Lally.

The "Art Edition" of the monograph included a marble sculpture in an edition of 100, each of which has sold for $11,000. Both the "Art Edition" and the edition to be released next month come wrapped in a digitally printed silk scarf based on the Ai Weiwei's Straight installation. Each of the 1,000 "regular" edition copies is signed by the artist and will cost $1,500. For more info, visit the Taschen site.
