A student named Peiqi Su in NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program needed to do a project for the program's graduate show, and she had heard that "everyone on Wall Street is a dick," so the only logical thing to do was to build a wall of them.
Su used a 3D printer to make 81 "erectable" members for her Penis Wall, hooked them up to servo motors, and programmed them to "respond to either a viewer's movements or to realtime movements in the stock market." In her thesis, Su explains that "The penis is so different!" and she goes on to say that "this is my initial motivation, to study one of the oldest and probably the most attractive thing that humans interact with."
