20-year-old Heather Rooney's drawing of LeBron James looks so real, it could be a photograph. The incredibly skilled artist used Prismacolor colored pencils to bring the basketball star to life on paper. In the timelapse video above, Rooney has documented each painstaking pencil stroke.

"The drawing took me about 14 hours," Rooney told us via email. "I chose to draw LeBron because he is among the world’s greatest athletes and I thought he would be a great subject."

In additon to rendering LeBron in pencil, Rooney has depicted other celebrities and characters from film, including Emma Watson as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean.
