German photographer Jonas Unger is set to open his first exhibition at the Galerie Derouillon in Paris. Entitled "Autoportraits," the show features a series of celebrity selfies that the gallery says "questions what connects us to these figures, the same ones that disappear so often behind the mask of their media coverage."

Unger gave designers, actors, and models a film camera and only instructed them to take a photo of themselves. Among the familiar faces in Unger's photographs are fashion icons Karl Lagerfeld, Riccardo Tisci, and Jean-Paul Gaultier, French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos, David Lynch, and Gerard Depardieu. The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs through May 21. For more information, head to the Galerie Derouillon website and make sure that you or your translation software can read French.
