There’s certainly no shortage of Game of Thrones fan art out there (like this epic Emoji Recap), but these illustrations by Tokyo-based artist Mike Wrobel are in a league of their own. For his project, the artist re-imagined some of the show’s best loved characters as if they were ‘80s and ’90s movie stars.

Wrobel brilliantly captured each character's essence while demonstrating incredible respect for era-relevant details. Daenerys’ dragons have been replaced by ferrets while Sansa clutches a boy band sticker-clad binder. While the show certainly has enough plot lines to keep viewers interested, we can’t help but wonder what a spin-off stacked with Wrobel’s creations might entail.
