Penguin Books announced today that they will release an autobiography for Damien Hirst in the Fall of 2015. BBC Radio 4's Today programme spoke about Hirst, his co-writer James Fox, and the news of the book deal today, saying that the book will be an "exposé on the art world" and that the collaboration between Hirst and Fox, "who is a significant and serious writer," could result in a "genuine revelation about what happened between 1980 and 2010." Fox spoke to the Today programme and says that Hirst "changed the rules" of art.
Previously, Hirst had said that he had forgotten his twenties, so we're not sure if he suddenly remembered or if they plan to gloss over that decade (or make things up), but according to the Guardian, the publisher has promised that the artist will speak with "utter candour about his life" and Fox said in aforementioned interview that there is talk about "housebreaking, stealing, criminality" and other hoodrat things he did with his art friends.
