Comic Sans Gets a Facelift, But Is It Any Better than Before?

Someone decided to remake the hated Comic Sans typeface, giving it a second chance at coolness.

Comic Sans has been dubbed the Hufflepuff of the font world. Critics have even gone as far as calling it a spawn of Satan, created to "inflict more suffering on an already weary world." Although there's nothing cool or redeemable about Comic Sans, that didn't stop graphic designer Craig Rozynskifrom trying to remake the hated typeface.

Thus Rozynski created Comic Neue, which is a finer version of its predecessor. Somehow, it's actually a step up from the original Comic Sans. The new and improved typeface "aspires to be the casual script choice for everyone." Somehow, we don't see that happening, but we commend Rozynski for trying.

For those who are diggin' the updated typeface, you can download Comic Neue here.
