We hate to be the bearers of bad news again (no we don't), but there is another sad Banksy fact that we have to share, courtesy of ANIMAL. They reached out to the street artist's publicist and learned that, despite the little blue check signifying it's legit status, the Banksy Facebook page is not actually his and has been fooling millions since February, including the Facebook staff who verified it.

The publicist, Jo Brooks, confirmed that the page is "100 percent fake." Facebook told ANIMAL that they received a request a couple months ago to verify the page, and that they thought the administrator was the really the rep for the artist. The verification check has been taken away, but there are still over 2 million people following the page at the time we're posting this. We suspect that number will drop a little when they learn the truth.
