Guus ter Beek and Tayfun Sarier of "Street Eraser" may have just won the "Most Clever Street Art Award" for 2014 with this smart project (disclaimer: not a real award). Blending the digital world with the art of the street, the duo created these stick-up pieces in the style of Photoshop backgrounds that have been wiped away using the eraser tool. They began putting them on tags, ads, billboards, and street signs around London, turning a simple idea into awesome street art interruptions. "We rather like the idea that it’s hiding under the surface of everything around us," they said.
We wish more art could be this smart, instead of attempting to be profound and failing miserably.
