When we think of empty malls, we think of old people power walking at 5am before the stores open. In Stratford, London, an empty mall is the place when a unique subculture goes at night to do one: skate the slick floors. Jake Green and Simon Poon Tip created this short film entitled Open Doors & Smooth Floors as a part of their 32LDN project. The film observes the Stratford City Skaters in their element, speeding down the buffed lanes of the Westfield Stratford City shopping center with no pesky shoppers getting in the way. 

We're not sure what kind of agreement the mall has with the skaters, but we don't see why every mall in the world couldn't make time for these kinds of activities. Check out the cool video below
