For an exhibition entitled "Transition Game" at Salon 94, artists Howard Kanovitz, Richard Avedon, Lorna Simpson, and Lucien Smith will present basketball-inspired paintings, sculptures, drawings, and photographs that "provide a snapshot into the parallel evolution of basketball and civil rights in America during the mid to late 1960s."
The works in the exhibition feature many of the great players of the '60s and '70s like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, as well as more recent ballers like the 5'3" beast, Muggsy Bogues.
