What do grizzly bears and turtles have in common? Absolutely nothing. Unless you’re talking about what the Fresno Grizzlies will be wearing when August comes around. The minor league baseball team will be taking the field wearing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-inspired uniforms. The jerseys look pretty terrible, sure, but the idea behind it is fucking awesome (who doesn't love the Ninja Turtles?). This might be the best film-based apparel jersey since the Mighty Ducks hockey uniforms.
The Ninja Turtle with the most fan votes will be chosen to be the official color for the games. No word yet on whether or not the jerseys will be available to the public. For now, it will be only be part of a charity auction. However, the hats will be available on the Fresno Grizzlies team store this summer.
