Artists Henry Hargreaves and Caitlin Levin once shared a bottle of wine and discovered quickly that they shared a lot more than that. Passionate about photography, food, and travel, they quickly became a powerhouse creative duo. In their latest artistic endeavor, entitled “Food Maps,” they constructed maps of different countries and continents using each region’s culinary specialties and photographed them. The results are stunningly vivid portrayals of global agricultural production and economic prosper. “These maps show how food has traveled the globe, transforming and becoming a part of the cultural identity of that place,” the artists said of their work.
