A great design can last for ages, and Filson’s iconic Cruiser is one that fits that bill. Originally designed in 1912 and patented in 1914, it was made using innovative features that have helped keep it relevant throughout the years. Now, Filson is celebrating the Cruiser's 100 Year Anniversary.

Since its inception, the Cruiser’s multipurpose design has been applied to many different styles. Depending on the purpose, it can be made as a jacket, vest, or shirt constructed in fabrics from tin cloth to wool. It’s always built with plenty of pockets from hand warmers and utility pockets just to name a few. But its one signature feature is a large back pocket. Whether your fishing, surveying the land, or just have a ton of shit to carry, the Cruiser has the extra cargo space you may need.

You can purchase your own Cruiser style—there are a few new additions for spring/summer 2014—on the Filson website today. But if you’re looking to win one, hit up social media. Filson will be giving one Cruiser per week throughout March through Facebook and Twitter. All you have to do is "like" and comment on Filson's Facebook post, or retweet the official contest tweet from the brand.
