There's something addictive about adopting art and music into emoji form. In Katy Perry's music video for "Roar," the pop princess spells out her lyrics with the iPhone symbols. Last year, artist Man Bartlett spawned one of the greatest memes ever with Emoji Art History, and artist Carla Gannis created the emoji version of Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights for Eyebeam’s "Emoji  Art & Design Show."

Today Austin-based Jesse Hill released an emoji music video for Beyonce's "Drunk in Love," and while his graphics aren't as complicated as the previous examples, the simplicity is all the more loveable. Our favorite emoji in the video is "surfboard," of course.
