In Bangkok, Thailand, the current style wave is focused on being about that life. A group of ordinary men (one even admits to being a bureaucrat, another is a cop) have banded together to be "gangsters by night," where they shed their normal-life skin and don Mexican banger attire complete with the dolo-buttoned flannels.
The "gang" of law-abiding citizens are harmless and basically adopting the lifestyle—they've also adopted tattoos and make their own rap music—as a form of escape. One member of the "Far East Eses" squad said that he finds the style "somehow empowering." Really though, you have to watch the brief mini-doc for yourself, because it's full of equally amazing quotes. We wonder: When this reaches actual California Mexican vatos, will they find it flattering or nah? Peep the clip above.
