The worst thing about the office is the office—nobody wants to be there. But these awesome typography inspired desks by French artist and designer Benoit Challand have the potential to make the workplace a whole lot more enjoyable. Challand, who has worked mostly with digital art and CGI design, developed a concept for Fold Yard that turns cubicles into letters of the alphabet. Each letter’s curve and line provides a novel and creative way to organize space. Additionally, if enough variety is present, the desks can be arranged to spell out words or phrases. But whether having a monogram desk is a greater office innovation than a ping-pong conference table or a rooftop golf course is an open question.
