If you haven't seen Steve Payne's work before, you really need to catch up. For years now, the artist has taken the work of English portrait artist George Dawe and used it to create his own brand of awesome portraiture. According to Payne's Tumblr, Dawe painted 329 portraits of Russian generals during Napoleon's invasion. Payne's work builds off of those portraits, using Photoshop and celebrity photos to match the style and composition of the original paintings.

The "Replace Face" series features musicians including Michael Jackson, Will.I.Am, and Bob Dylan, and celebrities Mr. T., Samuel Jackson, Will Smith, Chuck Norris, Eddie Murphy, Brad Pitt, and many others magically transported back to the 19th century. We included a few of our favorites above, but you can head to Replace Face for more.
