Wisconsin is well known for cheese and the Green Bay Packers. For those who listen to indie folk rock, it’s also where Bon Iver’s frontman Justin Vernon calls home (in the city of Eau Claire to be exact). Red Wing Heritage linked up with the songwriter just to get an idea of what it’s like living in the cheesehead state.

Unlike major cities where life is fast-paced and everyone is looking for the next big thing, the slow-paced lifestyle makes it easier to value even the little things around you—or that's how it seems anyway. Vernon picked up on this and drops some wisdom on his appreciation for things that last. Check out Red Wing Heritage’s Made in the Land of Wheat and Maize video above.
