Public School has always been a must-see at New York Fashion Week, but this season the NYC-born and raised label debuted on the runway, and the results were killer. After winning $300,000 from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, expectations were definitely high, but Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne killed it per usual. Equal parts tough, elegant, and progressive while still remaining wearable, the collection also included women's wear for the first time. We're no experts on the ins and outs of women's fashion, but any girl rocking a badass tomboy look in PS would definitely get our attention. But back to the men's apparel; Essentially, rocking a full look from Public School will result in looking and feeling like the progressive style that NYC used to be known for. If Chow and Osborne keep it up, NYC will regain the notoriety it once enjoyed for embracing and pushing forward and aesthetic that was, in a word, unfuckwithable.
