Brace yourselves for this latest piece of news. A 51-year-old Miami man was recently arrested and charged with criminal mischief after he smashed a $1 million vase from Ai Weiwei's collection of Colored Vases, part of the Chinese artist's "According to What" exhibition.

Maximo Caminero, a Dominican-born 51-year-old, picked up one of Ai's 16 vibrant-hued vases currently on display at the Perez Art Museum Miami, and smashed it when he saw security guards approaching.

Turns out, Caminero himself is a local painter, and he had destroyed the vase to protest the fact that the Miami art museum only displayed international art. Talk about bitter.
