It was just announced a few hours ago that Pharrell partnered up with eBay to auction off the now-famous Vivienne Westwood hat he wore to the Grammys. And just like that, the hat already sold for $500.
The bid started at about $200 and soon sold for twice the price, though to be honest, was much less than we thought it'd go for.
Pharrell himself posted the listing on his personal page on eBay, and said that he was "giving up" the hat to "help underserved kids get the educational tools they need." Proceeds from the sale will benefit his educational non-profit From One Hand to Another.
Whoever bought the hat just got a piece of history.
