Along the Peruvian coastline of Lima sits a recently erected beach house by Longhi Architects. The structure is nestled into the rocky, elevated landscape, giving the occupants stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Longhi Architects opted for a chic ultra-modern design concept. The exterior of the house is constructed using steel, wood paneling, and large sheets of glass to allow abundant natural lighting. A swimming pool moat snakes around the outskirts of the property. The interior features beveled ceilings, granite surfacing, and stark white walls accented by brushed aluminum handrails and window frames, giving the inside an almost space age feel. Bursts of natural stone emerge in hallways, creatively bridging the indoor-outdoor dichotomy, while bold geometric lines define the character of each room and play a prominent role in the external aesthetic.
