The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts announced a special public discussion scheduled for February 16 about the Mural Arts Restored Spaces Program. The idea for the program came about during the 2008 Presidential election, when polls suggested that the state of the environment was a major concern for young voters. Artists, program managers, stakeholders, and residents of the community recognize the spaces that need attention and work together to restore them to their former glory.

The discussion will include founder Shari Hersh as well as some of the local artists who have been involved with Murals Arts and the Restored Spaces program. For more information, visit MuralArts.org.
