Pop culture exists to be parodied, and some people are better at it than others. In collaboration with Mass Appeal, Brooklyn-based artist Hectahcreated this animated series entitled "What the Hec?" that lives on Instagram. The videos use the voices and likenesses of rappers including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Rick Ross, and various film and television characters including Mr. Miyagi (Karate Kid) and Doc Brown (Back to the Future), bringing them together in ways that play off of song lyrics, spoof movie titles, or create humorous scenarios around celebrity sound bites. It's so much easier to show you what me mean, so enjoy the clips below and head over to Mass Appeal's Instagram for more laughs.
