Celebrity lookalikes have their place in the art world. Last month, we spoke to British artist Alison Jackson about using fake celebs for her staged photographs of the private lives of famous people. Now celebrities are getting their art world twins with help from VH1, who created a photo gallery of iconic works of art that look uncannily similar to Hollywood's finest.
For their gallery, VH1 paired Kristen Wiig with Grant Wood's grim maid in American Gothic. Rebel Wilson's art historical doppelganger is the intriguing bartender from Manet's A Bar at the Folies-Bergère. Christian Bale might as well be Van Gogh, and in a gender-bending comparison, Paul Dano looks weirdly similar to Mona Lisa. Check out the full list over at VH1.
