Appalatch is about to blow your mind with its latest product. The outdoor apparel company used the latest 3D printing craze to create some truly next-level sweaters. If you’re unfamiliar with the process, it basically sounds like something out of a science fiction movie.
Here’s how it works: A scanner copies an item and, through futuristic technology, prints out a 3D model that can actually be used. Mind blown. If you’re still confused let the experts explain it.
Usually a combination of powder and binder materials reproduce the copy, but these sweaters are made using 100 percent organic cotton yarn. The best part is that since they are printed, the sweaters are fully customizable to any size. The knits are available in different colors and are priced at $100 on the Appalatch website.
