Up-and-coming designers caught a break last year when VFiles decided to change the fashion rules a bit and used online crowdsourcing to choose who to put on the runway. New names like Gypsy Sport, Ammerman Schlösberg, Steven Tai and Sam Mc got the right exposure they needed. The approach was so successful that VFiles turned over some rocks again and discovered three new talented gems to present at this year’s NYFW.

First is Melitta Baumeister, who is no stranger to the runway after opening up for the Parsons MFA runway show with oversized coats. Second is Paris-based streetwear brand AASK, designed by Sarah Schofield and Agatha Kowalewski. And last but not least is Hyein Seo, a designer currently learning the fashion ropes at Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp—the same school which produced notable names like Ann Demuelemeester, Dries Van Noten, Martin Margiela.

Find out what these up-and-comers have created on Feb. 5.
