Last week, a round of NFL football helmets designed by CFDA designers hit the Internet. Among them were headgear customized by John Varvatos, Billy Reid, Donna Karan, and Ovadia & Sons. But one in particular fell wasn't released until today, probably because the Public School designed domepiece is the sickest one of the bunch.

Designer Dao-Yi Chao and Maxwell Osborne created a matte black leather helmet with a spiked spine. "We wanted to blur the lines between the NFL's standards and ready-to-wear." Osborne said. "The key detail was wrapping the spiked spine, to represent both stealth and strength." The custom, one of a kind helmet will be auctioned off at Bloomingdales.com from Jan. 15 to Feb. 4 with proceeds going to the NFL Foundation.

If you don't have any plans of bidding on the auction, drop by Bloomingdale's 59th Street location for the official unveiling tomorrow at 5 p.m.
