Now that Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers are out of the Super Bowl hunt, hopefully this means he will stop trying to make bolo ties a thing. The quarterback's western accessory game is kinda crazy, and even though bolo ties are seen more in New Mexico and Texas, it definitely stems from his Alabama country roots.

But the recent bolo craze that the Chargers' late season success created will ideally now, like the Chargers' championship dreams, come to an end. No more long New York Times articles on how this choice reflects Rivers' style of play. Or reports coming out of San Diego saying the city is suffering from a bolo tie shortage. It's over, 17. You can stop trying to make bolo ties happen, and spend the off-season trying to figure out how to beat your divisional rivals next year.
