A line of people snaking down Hollywood Blvd. shuffled into Los Angeles' Fonda Theater last Wednesday night, to watch Miguel's private performance ahead of the Grammy awards.

The "Power Trip" singer, who's been nominated for Best R&B Performance for his track "How Many Drinks" with Kendrick Lamar, trooped onstage wearing all-white - save a zebra print t-shirt draped around his waist and a tasseled leather jacket. While the likes of DJ Caroline D'Amor and Purity Ring were getting their pictures taken in the press ring, Miguel hopped around onstage like a charged wind-up toy, performing tracks like "Sure Thing" and "Adorn" with a small live band behind him.

Hosted by Levi's, the event celebrated three of the denim company's most coveted icons: the 501 Jean, Sawtooth Western shirt and Trucker jacket.

Miguel is also up for a Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award for "Power Trip," featuring J.Cole.
