French designer and artist Kevin Lancelin got his start as an intern for both Nike and adidas, then ended up landing a gig with the former as one of their apparel designers.

The sportswear influence is evident in Lancelin's fall/winter 2014 collection, but it's clear the budding creative is establishing signatures on his own terms. Turns out, the Creapole Paris graduate drew inspiration from various uniforms for his standout lookbook, Lancelin Kevin.

Lancelin looked to the Heavy Cavalry Corps, Alpine Hunters, Scottish Scouts and Royal Air Force when he mulled the designs for the collection. With classical standards in mind, the designer integrated technological details, sport-inspired tailoring and machinery into his styles. Lengthy jackets with plenty of pockets, utilitarian vests with metal buckles and - of course - a few pairs of Nikes create a host of progressive looks.

Browse through the fits above, then head to Lancelin's site for more.
