They say everyone’s a photographer with Instagram, but real artists can’t stay hidden behind their handles for long.
Ecuadorean illustrator and art director Javier Perez has been posting images on his account recently that have caused a stir. In a project called “Instagram Experiments,” he transforms everyday objects into heart-warming and goofy minimalist illustrations. Constructing the Eiffel Tower out of forks, creating the world from an Oreo, and alluding to a submarine using only a straw are just a few of the affably creative pictures he has dreamed up.
