The Tate Modern has been trying to bring art "to a wider audience" by using familiar faces to discuss various topics via their "Unlock Art" video series. In the latest video, Jemima Kirke (Jessa Johansson in Girls) dons a gorilla suit and other costumes to discuss the roles that women have played in art history and the lack of respect and acknowledgement that they have received. From the Guerrilla Girls and Judith Leyster, to Marina Abramovic and Lee Krasner, Kirke goes back centuries to outline just how much of a problem the marginalization of female artists is and has been.
