While most New Yorkers were nestled inside their homes on Tuesday, safe from the storm brewing outside their windows, the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue was not so lucky. One of the glass panels of the iconic glass cube encasing the flagship store shattered after being struck by a snowblower.

While the Fifth Avenue Apple Store may certainly have looked pretty for its sleek exterior, made up of fifteen individual glass panels, one of the downsides to glass is that, well, it shatters—and it will reportedly cost $445,000 to repair.

But for those looking to cop a new iPad or Macbook, there's no need to fret—the Apple Store will remain open today.
