Season 4 of Portlandia begins next month (February 27) and photographer Alex Prager was hired to create photographs to promote the series. Prager's shots feature actors Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein standing in a crowd of people in what appears to be a grocery store. The photo is similar to work that appears in the photographer's "Faces In the Crowd" series currently on show at Corcoran Gallery. One in particular, entitled Crowd #4 (New Haven), was staged to look like a train station and features two subjects in the center who seem to stand out more than the others just like Armisen and Brownstein.
