While we often count on street artists to make our cities beautiful and fine artists to make our homes (and museums) beautiful, sometimes we forget that beauty can be found in nature. One striking example of mother nature’s creative abilities is Zhangye Danxia Landorm, an expansive mountain range in China that recalls the sand art activities of camp yore. Photographer Amos Chapple captures these mountains in all their glory with striking images. The mountain range features bright and vibrant colors and natural texture variation via tectonic plate movement, erosion, oxidation, and water flow fissures.
