The rotating Christmas tree stand is a cool invention for families with special ornaments that would otherwise be hidden from sight for the duration of the holiday season. They also make lit trees look as if they are pirouetting in your living room, one who wouldn't want to see that? A reddit user thought it would be cool to photograph his family's spinning tree using a long exposure, wide aperture, and low ISO.

The light paths resemble an elaborate neon art piece, one that would be nearly impossible to duplicate in multiple photos. If you have a rotating stand and a DSLR, you should definitely try this at home. Check out the full album here for the exact settings used.
