Although Club Monaco is now owned by Ralph da gawd, the label actually began as a small Toronto-based athletic company in 1985. 28 years later, the brand has decided to honor its heritage via a re-issue of its classic logo sweatshirt, made in collaboration with fellow cheese curd eaters Reigning Champ. Reigning Champ's popular fleece is actually made by Canadian-based CYC, who also formerly made Supreme's hoodies and crewnecks. If there's anything noteworthy about the country of Canada besides Ryan Gosling, Drake, Rob Ford or a fully functioning, government-operated health care system, it's that they know how to make good fleece because they cope with unprecedented depths of brickness each year. It's actually quite sad. Look for the Club Monaco x Reigning Champ collection to drop Monday, December 9.
