Headed by a graduate of Cornell's School of Architecture, Urbane maps cities by how different neighborhoods are perceived. Their collection includes maps of Washington, D.C., Toronto, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Vancouver, Boston, and Los Angeles. While they may be seen as problematic, only defining areas by stereotypes, these maps also give an insight into how residents view different areas of the city, a picture of a city's self-consciousness.
