For his Revel performances, Kanye and DONDA took familiar design elements to another level by creating a fully immersive experience with wrap-around screens, grandiose, eye-dilating landscapes, and unexpected snowstorms (matched only by a yeti mask, of course). And speaking of masks, these shows were the debut of his Margiela masks and skirts, which have carried on to subsequent shows and the Yeezus tour. The experimentation continues, whether it be a giant, blue tidal wave engulfing him or birds swirling around him.

The inclined stage's overall minimal design was focused on the audience with more enormous, projected visuals than usual (at times, his face took up the entire walls on the sides of the stage. The floating ceiling screen above the main stage is also reminicent of the VH1 Storytellers set design from 2008. All in all, the Revel performances were, yet again, a strong move in a new direction for Kanye and his stage design, which in turn signalled new fashion, sounds, and aesthetic priorities.
