Earlier this month we told you about a six-part MTV documentary that Shepard Fairey executive produced and created print promotions and visuals for. Entitled "Rebel Music," the series explores the power of music and art to inspire and promote change in areas of conflict including Mali, Egypt, Afghanistan, Mexico, the Middle East, and India. In this video, Fairey chats with fellow executive producer Nusrat Durrani of MTV World about the project and the visual identity that he created. Fairey says that his "biggest goal was to remind people that art and music make a difference and that they should use them as tools of empowerment."

Check out the conversation below and mark your calendars for the series premiere, November 18th on mtvU and RebelMusic.com.
